Strategic Procurement Manager for high-tech industrial company – Linköping Do you want to work with strategic procurement in a technically advanced and commercially driven environment? Viraliv Professional is now seeking a strategic procurement manager for a consulting assignment with one of our clients in the high-tech industry in Linköping. Here you will have the opportunity to take on significant commercial responsibility and help develop both procurement strategies and supplier relationships. The role suits you if you enjoy combining commercial acumen, analysis, negotiation, and relationship building, and if you want to work closely with both internal operations and external partners. Your Role As a strategic procurement manager, you will become an important part of the client's procurement organization and will primarily work with indirect procurement. You will have broad responsibility throughout the procurement process and work long-term to create the best possible commercial solutions. Your tasks will include: Develop and implement strategies for your procurement categories. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers. Manage requests for proposals, bids, and commercial evaluations. Negotiate prices, terms, and other commercial aspects. Establish and manage supplier agreements. Develop existing supplier relationships and ensure good delivery capability. Analyze costs and identify opportunities for efficiency and savings. Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, lead times, and delivery accuracy. Work with total cost of ownership and long-term value creation rather than just purchase price. Lead and coordinate supplier-related activities together with various functions within the organization. You will have many contact points and therefore need to be comfortable communicating and collaborating with both internal decision-makers and external suppliers. Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking a person with several years of experience in qualified procurement work who wants to continue developing in strategic and commercial procurement. To succeed in this role, we would like you to have: Approximately 3–7 years of relevant work experience. Experience with strategic procurement and commercial procurement processes. Relevant education in fields such as economics, procurement, or logistics, or equivalent experience. Experience with negotiation and contract management. Experience evaluating suppliers and developing long-term business relationships. Understanding of cost structures and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Experience working with cost savings and efficiency improvements. Ability to drive own initiatives while collaborating with different parts of the organization. Strong communication and analytical skills. Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience from industry, technology, or other complex operations is a merit. It is also positive if you have worked with international suppliers or in an international procurement environment. As a Person You are commercially oriented, structured, and confident in commercial negotiations. You build trust and relationships easily, but are at the same time analytical and thorough when it comes to contracts, costs, and supplier performance. You take responsibility for your processes from start to finish and have the ability to see both the details and the bigger business picture. What Do You Get?
