About the Role
As a Strategic Procurement Manager, you will have a central role in our procurement work with a focus on aluminum scrap, raw material optimization, and indirect materials. You work both strategically and operatively, with significant responsibility and close collaboration with colleagues, suppliers, and sister companies.
You will be an important part of developing our business, strengthening supplier relationships, and identifying new market opportunities - always with sustainability and long-term thinking in focus.
Examples of responsibility areas:
Drive and develop procurement and our processes toward established goals and strategies
Develop existing supplier partnerships and identify new business opportunities
Work with cost optimization and raw material analysis
Participate in and drive development projects
Conduct supplier assessments and contract analyses
Stay well-informed and maintain an understanding of the market and its development
The role reports to the Commercial Manager and is based in Älmhult. We are convinced that the best relationships and business are created through close contact with our suppliers, so the position involves travel within both Sweden and Europe.

We are looking for someone who combines business acumen and analytical ability with energy, curiosity, and a strong drive to move forward. You are a humble team player who enjoys building relationships, sees opportunities in change, and is motivated by creating results together with others.
You have relevant education from college/university or equivalent, and you have several years of prior experience in procurement and/or sales, preferably from our industry.
As a person, it is important that you are drawn to and live by our values of teamwork. At Stena Aluminium, we are team players who show care for colleagues, materials, and the environment. We share our knowledge and help each other solve problems in everyday work.
Other requirements include good computer skills, strong knowledge of Swedish and English, and a valid driver's license. German is a merit.
