The Care Services Administration is a central player in this work, responsible for support, care, and security for the municipality's most vulnerable groups. The municipality's controller services are placed at the controller unit within the economics and operations management department, which is part of the municipality's central organization. The unit provides support to all the municipality's administrations in matters concerning planning, follow-up, analysis, and management. We are now seeking a strategic controller for the Care Services Administration who wants to combine qualified financial management with business development and strategic management support. As a controller at the controller unit, you work both strategically and operatively with financial management for the municipality's various administrations. You have a key role in coordinating budget work, follow-up, analysis, and reporting. You are an important support to administration management, operations managers, and other decision-makers, economists, and controllers in the organization. You have a designated area of responsibility in the first instance but may support other administrations and operations as needed. In this role, you will be focused on the Care Services Administration, which includes elderly care and disability care as well as staff functions. You work closely with the administration manager and the administration's management group to create conditions for a long-term sustainable operation with high quality for Solna's residents. You also work closely with another controller for the Care Services Administration. The role includes: Having overall responsibility for qualified financial analysis, management, and follow-up at the administration level Leading and driving budget and forecast processes Coordinating the preparation of monthly, tertiary, and annual financial statements and reports and other economic decision-making materials Following up on financial results, operational targets, key figures, quality, and resource use Coordinating work with internal controls Strategically supporting the administration manager and the administration's management group in operational planning and financial management Contributing to the development of management and leadership processes Collaborating with the municipality's overarching financial functions and other administration controllers Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who has Higher education in economics, public administration, or similar Multiple years of experience as a controller Experience in planning, follow-up, and analysis of both economics and operations Good understanding of welfare operations and their economic conditions Very good knowledge of the Office package and experience with larger decision support systems We consider it a merit if you have experience with A controller role in a municipality or region, or other politically governed organization Work with internal controls and contract follow-up Operational management role Operational areas within care or welfare To succeed in the role, we see that you are analytical and have the ability to see the whole picture. You work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and drive your work forward with a focus on quality and results. You enjoy working independently but also collaborate well with others, build good relationships, and have a service-oriented approach. One of your strengths is presenting complex information in a pedagogical and audience-adapted way. You find it easy to adapt to changed conditions and are flexible in your working approach.
