Fleet Development is a staff function within BA Generation responsible for strategic work, optimization of our (production) assets, monitoring and support to our business units, and business development. This includes, for example, conducting analyses, strategy development, driving strategic processes, and promoting various business and development opportunities. We also monitor BA Generation's targets and progress, track external developments, and conduct benchmarks. Additionally, the Fleet Development Manager holds the role of Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO) with responsibility for ensuring nuclear safety perspectives, and Fleet Development has supporting resources linked to this role. About the Role As a Strategic Advisor Back-End, you will join a team of skilled and committed colleagues. The role offers great variety in tasks and many points of contact, significant influence, and an international perspective in several areas. The Strategic Advisor Back-End is responsible for leading, developing, analyzing, and coordinating BA Generation's work in back-end (waste management, decommissioning, and final disposal) from a holistic perspective. The role supports management by developing strategic analyses, decision-making materials, and recommendations, and ensures coordination between internal functions, including Business Units, and external stakeholders. The position operates at strategic and tactical levels, with a focus on governance, stakeholder dialogue, contract matters, regulatory issues, and development of long-term solutions, and contributes to optimizing the entire value chain from waste generation to final disposal. Examples of your tasks: Lead, coordinate, or participate in strategic investigations and initiatives within BA Generation focusing on waste management, decommissioning, and final disposal Act as Fleet's representative to waste and decommissioning operations and within this role analyze, evaluate, and support progress in prioritized strategic areas, and report developments and improvement suggestions to the BA Generation manager Represent BA Generation in forums and steering groups related to the business's prioritized strategic areas and major projects, as well as in the waste and decommissioning area Evaluate business risks and financial consequences of strategic initiatives, investments, and contract solutions, and develop business cases and decision-making materials that support the business's long-term development and cost-effectiveness Contribute a holistic perspective to find solutions and collaboration in the waste and decommissioning area that optimize the value chain from waste generation to final disposal Requirements We are looking for someone who is curious and analytical, and who through dialogue and collaboration gains insight into different perspectives to develop well-considered recommendations for Vattenfall's benefit. You have an easy time building relationships and networks, are driven to create results, and act with high integrity. You are clear and engaging in your communication and thrive in an environment where much happens and where you can contribute to progress. You find solutions, even when the path forward is not obvious, and take responsibility for your deliverables while actively seeking out the information you need to know. With a strategic perspective, you have the ability to see both the big picture and details, weigh long-term consequences, and handle multiple parallel tasks with structure and flexibility. You hold a degree in civil engineering or business administration, or have equivalent work experience and education. Previous work experience in the energy industry, preferably in nuclear power. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written You have good organization of your work, good IT skills, and experience working with various tools for, for example, analysis, forecasting, and monitoring It is a merit if you have knowledge of nuclear power's final disposal system.
