About the Role This is an opportunity for you who wants to work with long-term and strategic issues in an operation that is crucial for society and facing major changes linked to sustainable travel in the future. As a depot strategy manager, you have a central role in developing the infrastructure that public transit depends on to function – our vehicle depots. You will work with long-term planning, analyses, and strategic decisions to ensure that Västtrafik has the right conditions to meet future needs. The role spans several areas, from community planning and property matters to public transit, infrastructure, and collaboration with many different actors. You will work closely with colleagues at Västtrafik and maintain extensive contacts with, among others, municipalities, the Swedish Transport Administration, Västra Götaland Region, and other external partners. Examples of Work Tasks Drive and develop strategic issues related to Västtrafik's depot infrastructure. Prepare analyses, investigations, and decision-making materials. Participate in long-term planning of future depot needs. Coordinate and lead development initiatives together with internal and external actors. Work on property, land use, planning processes, and contract-related matters. Represent Västtrafik in regional and national collaborations and networks. Who Are You? Qualifications To succeed in this role, we believe you have: Relevant university education in, for example, community development, property, engineering, law, or another area that we consider equivalent. Good experience working with strategic or qualified development issues in, for example, community development, property, infrastructure, public transit, or similar operations. Experience preparing analyses, investigations, or decision-making materials. Strong ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. It is a merit if you have experience with planning and property matters, project management, or work in a politically governed organization. Terms and Application This position is a substitute role for approximately 10 months with good opportunities for extension. Hiring according to agreement. The position may involve travel to our various offices in Västra Götaland Region. Depending on the assignment, the position may also be placed in a security classification. Västtrafik is covered by collective agreements according to the Main Agreement (HÖK 25) with General Terms (AB 25). We apply individual and differentiated salary setting.
