The Joint Management Administration consists of the business areas Democracy & Service, Finance & Procurement, Working Life & Digital Technology, Strategic Community Planning, Rescue Services & Security, and the staff unit. The administration is tasked with leading, supporting, and coordinating the entire municipal organization on behalf of the municipal executive board. This is done by keeping customer needs in focus and by having a holistic view and common working methods. The Working Life & Digital Technology business area brings together the HR, Payroll, and IT units and is responsible for the municipality's role as an employer, strategies for skills supply, and the management and operation of technical platforms and digital infrastructure. By bringing together employer issues, payroll processes, and technical conditions, we create better integration, reduce vulnerability, and strengthen the municipality's ability to meet long-term skills supply needs within welfare services. 1 position(s). TASK RESPONSIBILITIES As a Digital Infrastructure Strategist, you are responsible for developing, coordinating, and long-term planning of Motala Municipality's digital infrastructure with a particular focus on the municipality's municipal network and fiber infrastructure. The assignment aims to ensure a robust, secure, and future-proof infrastructure that supports the municipality's operations, residents, and business community. You are responsible for the municipality's strategic work within fiber, broadband, and digital communications, as well as for the management and development of the municipality's municipal network. The role includes developing strategies, action plans, and decision-making materials, monitoring technological developments in the field, and identifying future needs and opportunities. You plan, coordinate, and follow up on the expansion, maintenance, and development of the municipal network in cooperation with contractors, operators, and other external actors. You are responsible for contacts with customers, property owners, authorities, and cooperation organizations, and represent the municipality in relevant networks and forums. The assignment includes responsibility for documentation and information management related to the municipal network, management of conduit matters, contract issues, connections, rental of network capacity, and monitoring of finances, suppliers, and contractor agreements. You actively work with issues related to network capacity, robustness, redundancy, and preparedness, and ensure that the municipality's fiber network is developed and managed in accordance with industry standards and applicable guidelines, such as Robust Fiber. The role also involves contributing to the municipality's work on continuity and critical infrastructure. You coordinate issues related to digital infrastructure within the municipality and serve as the municipality's contact person toward operators, authorities, regions, suppliers, and other cooperation partners. You monitor developments in areas such as 5G, 6G, IoT, and other technical areas that affect future digital infrastructure needs. The role is characterized by independence and significant personal responsibility for achieving set goals. As a specialist in the field, you are responsible for ensuring the municipal network's function and availability, and for managing any incidents and disruptions in cooperation with contractors and other affected parties. QUALIFICATIONS Formal competencies: • Academic degree in IT, data technology, systems science, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.
