Job Duties You will work in close collaboration with support assistants, educational support specialists, and the unit manager, and your main task is to ensure the quality of the pedagogical work in the organization, with a focus on proven methods and in accordance with laws and guidelines. As an educational support specialist, you have an important role in acting as a role model in working with low-affect interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative and augmentative communication. You guide your colleagues in daily work and are responsible, together with other educational support specialists, for ensuring that social documentation maintains good quality and follows the laws and guidelines we must adhere to. You will work according to a schedule, every other weekend. You inspire learning and development by motivating and engaging, thereby giving both colleagues and the children living at Billdals good conditions to develop and succeed. An important part of your role is also to encourage and work for good collaboration with all people in the individual's network. You actively monitor the external environment with a focus on autism, clarifying pedagogy, and individually adapted activities. Qualifications For the position of educational support specialist, post-secondary specialization within the disability field is required, encompassing at least 200 vocational school credits or 60 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least two full-time semesters of study. The education must have a clear focus on the disability field in its entirety. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet these language requirements, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. Experience with autism, intellectual disabilities, alternative and augmentative communication, and clarifying pedagogy is a requirement. You must also have experience with social documentation and knowledge of current legislation related to LSS, HSL, and SoL. It is positive if you have prior experience working with sensory stimulation as a method and experience with sign language as a support.
