Do you want a meaningful and challenging job where you can make a difference for children and young people every day? We are looking for you—a confident, experienced, and driven support pedagogue. Apply for this position with us and become an important part of our team! Who are we? Welcome to our children and youth residential facilities under section 9:8 LSS—a service where you make a real difference every day. We are expanding with a new facility and are therefore seeking engaged support pedagogues who want to help shape our services together with us. We are recruiting for two units: Ånestadsgatan 156 in Smedby, an established facility, and Vägstumpen 1 in Svärtinge, a new unit starting in fall 2026. You will be assigned to one of these units, where you will have an important role in creating a strong and well-functioning team, guiding the work group in our core mission. You will have a close colleague in your work as a support pedagogue, as we have two responsible support pedagogues for each child and young person. Our services have seven residential places in total. Children and young people with various disabilities, backgrounds, and individual needs live in our facilities. The service has high staffing ratios and we have 24-hour coverage with both awake night shifts and sleeping on-call duties. In our facilities, children and young people are always at the center, where we work purposefully to promote their independence and create a safe and adapted residential environment based on their individual needs and circumstances. Your work tasks As a support pedagogue with us, you will have an exciting and varied assignment with significant responsibility for matters directed toward our children and young people, as well as an important role in guiding the work group toward established goals. You initiate, work with, and implement various areas and issues that promote the service's quality and development work together with the unit manager. Work in the facility is based on each individual's implementation plan. Our goal is to work toward ensuring that each individual becomes as independent and secure as possible in order to develop according to their abilities. You provide individually adapted support and maintain a professional approach. Together with the unit manager and the rest of the personnel group, which consists of support assistants and support pedagogues, you form a team around the children and young people living here. As a support pedagogue with us, you have a key role in our team to create structure and clarity in the work surrounding the security and quality of life for our residents in their home. You have overall responsibility for social and educational matters concerning our children and young people, where you identify needs in an analytical and clear manner, plan, and implement various types of change work. You are part of the close user-focused work that involves following our children and young people in their everyday lives. Work tasks include everything that occurs in a home environment where the individual's needs guide the work. The work involves contact with many actors both internally and externally. This is important for maintaining comprehensive work around each individual, as the children and young people live permanently with us. Who are you? We are looking for you who are educated as a support pedagogue or who have other relevant education that the employer considers equivalent. To succeed in this position, we see that you have at least a few years of experience working as a support pedagogue where you have had supervisory responsibility. Experience and knowledge of working with people exhibiting various types of challenging behavior, such as physical and verbal outbursts and self-harming behavior, is a requirement. We would like you to have experience and knowledge of socially destructive behavior, as this occurs within our target groups. You also need to have experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-affective approaches, and neuropsychiatry. You have previous experience working with children and young people within LSS; it is positive if you have experience working with special diagnoses such as PWS and within NPF, as well as knowledge of trauma and crisis management. It would be desirable if you can use sign language or signs as support and/or are familiar with other forms of AAC. You have a high level of structure and holistic perspective while maintaining a well-grounded approach related to user and family-related matters within the LSS target group. It is important that you can collaborate and work according to decisions made in the service. That you take initiative and strive to create good relationships and achieve results are, in our view, important competencies. Being a good role model for our children and young people as well as your coworkers is self-evident to you. You are responsive and adapt your communication to the person you meet, which also means you have high self-awareness—you are conscious of your feelings and actions and how these affect your work situations. The close user-focused work requires that you have a high degree of independence. You see what needs to be done and take initiative in your daily work, which includes being able to implement and develop new ideas and methods. You are flexible and can adjust your approach and adapt when the situation demands it. You find it easy to prioritize and find solutions in different situations. You are experienced in working with risk assessments and can see both the big picture and the details. As a person, you are empathetic and confident with a positive attitude and strong commitment to your target group. You see possibilities from a professional approach and want to contribute to developing the service based on the established objectives. You are comfortable with computers and can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. A class B driver's license is a requirement. We look forward to receiving your application!
