We are now seeking an engaged employee who wants to help develop the operation together with the participants. Vallmon is a meeting point for individuals over 18 years old within social psychiatry where people are offered a safe, meaningful, and inclusive meeting place. The operation is open without referral or support decision and is based on voluntary participation, accessibility, and respect for the individual's integrity. We keep no individual documentation, which contributes to a low threshold for seeking support and community. As an employee at Vallmon, you are an important part of the daily operations. Together with the participants, you create a safe, welcoming, and meaningful environment where each individual is given the opportunity to develop according to their own circumstances. Your main tasks are to: • Plan, implement, and develop activities, both individually and in groups, such as creative, social, and physical activities. • Motivate and support participants through a recovery-oriented approach, help break social isolation, and strengthen the individual's confidence in their own abilities. • Perform practical tasks in the operation, for example simple kitchen work such as baking, reheating food, shopping, and administrative tasks. • Collaborate with internal and external partners, authorities, and other actors regarding participants' needs and opportunities for support. Work hours are currently scheduled as day shifts, but this may change to include late afternoons and possibly some weekend shifts in the future. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Education as a support educator, activation educator, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Experience working in social psychiatry and preferably from meeting point operations or other open services for people with mental health challenges. • Strong ability to build trusting relationships and work based on the individual's needs and resources. To succeed in the role, you are: • Confident and stable in your professional role. • Flexible and solution-oriented. • Relationship-building with good collaboration skills. • Responsible and organized. • Calm and professional even in challenging situations. • Engaged in creating an inclusive environment where people feel welcome and included. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of or experience working with: • ESL – An Independent Life, where the individual receives support to develop strategies and skills for a more independent life. • MI – Motivational Interviewing, where the individual's own motivation and participation are at the center. • Low Affect Approach (LAB/LAF), focusing on respectful and situation-adapted interaction that prevents stress and conflicts. We place great importance on personal suitability. Interviews will begin in week 34 and onward. Employment Type: Permanent position.
