Imagine getting to create a place where children and youth in LSS can grow, feel secure, and be seen for who they are. We are now launching a highly specialized autism and communication residence where the environment, approach, communication, and structure are adapted to each child's needs. The focus will be on quality and development, and the operation is built on evidence-based autism knowledge, AAC, low-affect approaches, and a high degree of individualization. Description We are now looking for a full-time support educator with an interest in quality and development who, together with colleagues, wants to help shape an operation where commitment, genuine interest, and innovative ideas are welcome. The role involves providing pedagogical support to colleagues, ensuring that agreed-upon work methods and implementation plans are followed, contributing to legally compliant documentation, identifying areas for improvement, and reporting observations to the operation's coordinating support educator. You will ensure that the operation is conducted in accordance with LSS, the Social Board's regulations, and the operation's quality goals. With us, you get the opportunity to be involved from the start and create a safe, developmental, and meaningful daily life for a young person. We are looking for someone who is flexible, takes initiative, and enjoys an active day with clear structure for both young people and the work team. Work Tasks In the operation, we have a coordinating support educator who leads the pedagogical work together with four other support educators. As a support educator, you are organized under the unit manager. You participate in method meetings, and during weekends you implement and follow up on quality work, ensure method fidelity, follow up on routines, coach and guide colleagues during work shifts, contribute observations and feedback to the coordinating support educator. Your focus will be to coach your colleagues in daily work through, among other things, role-playing. You are a role model in pedagogical work in using evidence-based methods and approaches to create independence within the work team. You will be scheduled for daytime, evenings, and weekends. Every other weekend you will have weekend and method responsibility as a support educator. Full-time measure is 38:25. Qualifications A fundamental prerequisite is that you have post-secondary education as a support educator, social pedagogue, or other higher education such as social worker, preschool teacher, or equivalent that the employer deems equivalent. You must also have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. You need to have previous experience working as a pedagogue within LSS operations or adapted preschool/school. We also see that you have knowledge and experience working from evidence-based approaches such as low-affect behavior management (LAB), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), and clarifying pedagogy. Knowledge of PDA (extreme demand avoidance) is a merit, and if you have experience leading/coaching others in daily work, that is also positive. We are looking for someone who finds it easy to adapt your approach based on changed circumstances and sees opportunities in changes. You are motivated by clear goals and can translate them into concrete actions. You follow up on work and ensure that interventions lead toward the desired result. You are comfortable in social situations and stand behind decisions you make. At the same time, you communicate clearly and can handle both everyday and challenging situations in a professional manner. We also see that you listen to others, show interest and respect, and adapt your approach based on the individual and situation. Through your approach, you contribute to good relationships and good cooperation. Other Selection and interviews will take place on an ongoing basis and begin during the application period. Instead of submitting a personal letter, you will answer a number of questions where you can describe your knowledge in the field.
