WORK DUTIES Welcome to apply to work as a Support Pedagogue with us in care for people with disabilities (OF) and our Group Homes according to LSS. In OF, we work based on each person's unique conditions and abilities so that disability does not limit their life. This is our focus in daily work, which is also regulated by the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities (LSS). This means that the individual has the right to services that enable self-determination, equality in living conditions, full participation in community life, and the opportunity to live like others. Together, this ensures good living conditions for the individual. As a Support Pedagogue, you are the person who holds together the pedagogical work and approach in the operation. This includes ongoing assessment and analysis of each resident's needs and development, translating that knowledge into the right methods and approaches, and coaching colleagues so that the working methods are anchored in the individual's needs and what LSS actually requires. Your work duties include, among other things: Pedagogical support and coaching to the work team in approach, methodology, and documentation. Ongoing assessment of individual needs and conditions based on the implementation plan. Support to colleagues in designing and monitoring action plans. Support to colleagues in communication, daily activities, social training, and other interventions related to the individual's living situation, life conditions, and needs. Active work for a salutogenic and low-arousal approach throughout the work team. Collaboration with guardians, relatives, external partners, and other stakeholders. You will have scheduled pedagogical time for planning and development work, in addition to direct work with residents. Your working hours will include day, evening, weekend, and on-call night shifts according to the operation's schedule. As an employee within OF, you may be scheduled across other units within disability care based on operational needs or your expertise. When working with people who have extensive support needs, situations with challenging behavior, acting out, and threats or violence may occur. A good ability to act safely and professionally in unpredictable situations is therefore a requirement. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have a deep understanding of why LSS exists, what the law is intended to accomplish, and what it means when meeting an individual who has the right to live on their own terms. It is a requirement that you hold a degree as a Support Pedagogue and have documented experience working within LSS operations. You must also have good knowledge of LSS as a rights-based law, experience with a pedagogical approach and method development in care work, and knowledge of low-arousal interaction as an approach. It is a merit if you have knowledge of or experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and experience with operational systems such as Treserva, TimeCare, and Teams. A valid manual car driver's license is required. You have the ability to coach colleagues so that the law's intentions become understandable and applicable in everyday work. You can translate pedagogical theory and methodology into concrete practice, and you are calm, composed, and clear in situations requiring quick judgment. You have a good sense of shared leadership and take responsibility without needing delegated authority for each decision. You understand the connection between needs-driven planning and responsible resource use, and you contribute to ensuring that interventions are well-justified and documented. You communicate well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for you with the right understanding, attitude, integrity, and commitment. An extract from the criminal record register and documentation proving your right to work in Sweden will be requested before employment. Screening and interviews take place continuously, so do not delay submitting your application. The posting period may be shortened. A probationary period may be applied. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-17. According to agreement. You apply for this position through Offentliga Jobb. Grades and certificates should not be included with your application but should be brought to any interview. Work-life balance is important to us! Here you can combine work with family and leisure. We apply flexible working hours and remote work in operations where it is permitted. We offer a subsidized annual pass with Länstrafiken, wellness allowance, and much more. You also have free membership in the staff club, which provides access to free gym and swimming facilities as well as participation in other activities. Through the initiative "A Municipality Free from Violence," we actively work to prevent and counteract violence in society for a safer future. As part of this, enhanced background checks may be conducted for several positions, and we may require an extract from the criminal record register. In this way, we ensure that everyone works under equal conditions and is treated fairly.
