Description We are looking for a support pedagogue for our group home at Korsriddaregatan in central Kungälv. With us, you will have meaningful work where you contribute to creating safety and quality of life for the residents. The position involves work during days, evenings, and every other weekend according to a rotating schedule, and work shifts may vary depending on the needs of the operation. As a support pedagogue, you place the residents at the center and work together with the unit manager, other support pedagogues, and colleagues in the staff team to implement measures according to LSS decisions. You also participate in a support pedagogue network within functional support services in Kungälvs kommun. At the direction of the unit manager, you as support pedagogue will have the mandate to develop and conduct pedagogical work at the group home. Work Tasks As a support pedagogue, you work in close collaboration with the unit manager and colleagues and take active responsibility for developing the operation from a pedagogical perspective. You guide and support the staff team in a structured and professional way in their pedagogical work. The role includes developing, implementing, and following up implementation plans, methodological support, and procedures, among other things, in line with laws and guidelines. You guide colleagues in developing implementation plans and ensuring correct social documentation in the Treserva journal system. Beyond your pedagogical assignment, you also participate in the practical, daily work with the residents. This may include support with personal hygiene, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, medication management, social training, and cultural and leisure activities. You will participate in meetings and collaborate with family members. As a support pedagogue, you also have contact with our partner organizations, such as nurses, rehabilitation teams, day activities, and others. In this position, your base placement is at Korsriddaregatan and clustering to other units is included. Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Holds a degree in support pedagogy or has other education that the employer considers equivalent. Has good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written. Has good computer skills and feels confident using existing and new digital tools and services. Holds a category B driver's license. Meritorious Experience working with IBIC and Positive Behavior Support (PBS). Knowledge of challenging behavior, autism, and acquired brain injury. Has worked as a support pedagogue for at least 3 years. We are looking for someone who is initiative-taking, self-directed, and confident in guiding and supporting colleagues. You have a sense of responsibility, good communication skills, and strong collaboration abilities. You are experienced in meeting people with various types of disabilities and work in a reflective and risk-aware manner. You have theoretical knowledge and experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues. You have worked with low-arousal approaches, explicit pedagogy, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). How does our recruitment process work? Selection is ongoing.
