Unit Description
The unit is located in central Huddinge near a commuter train station and bus stop. It is a residential unit under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) with six apartments. We work with the individual at the center and are careful to ensure quality in the services we provide so that users can live as independently and well as possible.
About the Work
Scheduled working time on a four-week roster with day shifts, evenings, and every other weekend. Start date by agreement. We offer our users individually adapted support in their daily lives, which means supporting the user in activities, care, and all household tasks. Work with users is guided by individual implementation plans. Users are given support and services based on individual needs in a way that enables independence, self-determination, and participation according to individual ability. In your role, you should be able to support and inspire other staff members in pedagogical development at the unit. Work is planned, documented, and carefully followed up. As a support educator, it is very important that you document well in our operational systems and have the ability to assist staff in planning quality support for users. You are expected to be a positive force that wants to develop the unit in accordance with LSS intentions.
Your Profile
We are looking for a positive and committed support educator with relevant qualifications for the target group. You must have at least 60 higher education credits or 200 vocational higher education credits within a relevant educational area for the unit. You should be comfortable working with individuals who have significant needs for continuity, structure, and care. You should have good knowledge of intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. The ability to collaborate with all staff members at the workplace is a requirement, as is the ability to create and maintain good relationships with internal and external contacts. As support in your work, you will regularly meet with the functional support area's methodology developer together with other support educators.
You should be organized and responsible, able to take your own initiative, and enjoy working for development. You should be goal-oriented. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You must have excellent command of Swedish in both speech and writing and have good computer skills.
