The Social Services Department is responsible for services, support, and assistance to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and we implement services regulated by these laws. All operations are centered around the individual to meet their needs. The assignment involves strong customer focus and service orientation. LSS and Social Psychiatry Services Provider, with over 350 permanent employees, is a service provider for children, young people, and adults. We are governed by the LSS Act, the Social Services Act (SoL), and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL), and have responsibility for implementing services regulated by these laws. The operation is characterized by placing the individual at the center and collaborating to meet individual needs. The work environment has strong customer focus, good service orientation, and provides conditions for boundary-crossing work that is both inspiring and competence-developing. 3 position(s). DUTIES The role of support educator involves participating in the responsibility for providing users with support, services, and care according to SoL (2001:453) and LSS (1993:387). The support educator is responsible, on behalf of the unit manager and/or activity educator, for quality and holistic perspective in work with users at the unit. The support educator is placed at a unit to be part of the daily work and to observe, guide, and build trust within the work team. Administrative time is allocated at a minimum of 10% of the employment rate. Administrative time scheduling is done in dialogue with the unit manager. The role of support educator requires you to have in-depth knowledge and understanding of communication, contact and interaction, activities and relationships, support and services, health-promoting factors, and planning, development, and documentation within the operation. In daily work, you and your colleagues are responsible for structuring and creating security in the user's everyday life together with them. The content and scope of services are designed based on each user's individual needs. This may involve motivating and helping users with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping. The role includes offering and supporting residents with activities and social community. Keeping social documentation and actively working with implementation plans are also part of the work. We work based on low-arousal interaction and a professional approach focused on reducing stress and behavior-related problems, to best strengthen each user and their individual abilities and resources. Collaboration between internal and external care providers occurs, which requires good cooperation and communication skills. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies: • Qualified vocational (YH) degree or alternatively 60 college credits in a relevant area, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Several years of professional experience with developmental disabilities. • Experience with intellectual disability and neuropsychiatry. • Advantageous: knowledge of low-arousal interaction and clarifying pedagogy. • Good Swedish in speech and writing is required as we use language as a work tool and due to documentation requirements. • B driver's license is a requirement.
