We are now seeking a support educator for Daily activity services on Hisingen. The activity consists of three units: two relocated daily activity services located at care and nursing facilities, and one activity conducted in its own premises. The position is a temporary contract extending to 3/31-2027 with good opportunities to continue working in the activity. As a support educator, you are a role model and have overall responsibility for the educational work at the activities serving individuals covered by LSS (Act concerning Support and Service to Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) with a decision for Daily activity services. You will establish work methods and approaches, and ensure they are used and developed efficiently based on the activity's needs. You support staff in creating, developing, and following implementation plans and social documentation in accordance with laws and guidelines. You create and adapt work tasks for participants in the activities together with the support assistants. You are also responsible for maintaining regular coordination with collaboration partners and ensuring the collaboration functions well. In the role, you have many contact points and need good social skills to adapt depending on who you meet, as you are in many ways the "spider in the web." Since you are responsible for methodology meetings and other skills development, it is important that you feel confident and have experience leading work groups. In your role, you use your knowledge and experience to be a guide and support for the staff group. You provide mentoring based on the activity's needs and methods. You will join a network of support educators on Hisingen led by a business development manager and will collaborate with family members, guardians, and social workers. You will work closely with the unit manager on activity development from both a pedagogical and economic perspective. Qualifications We are looking for someone with education as a support educator or, alternatively, post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this requirement, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. It is a requirement that you have previously worked as a support educator, with experience in community-integrated Daily activity services being a merit. You also need experience with the LOV model within Daily Activity Services, as you will need to adapt the activity according to budget and upcoming assignments. Furthermore, you need experience with the methods Motivational Interviewing and Clarifying Pedagogy. It is desirable that you have experience supporting people in guiding conversations and a recovery-focused approach. It is a merit if you have previously been involved in adapting activities based on needs and changes. It is also a requirement that you have good physical ability as the role involves traveling over a geographical area and may require working at different locations during a workday. It is a merit if you have knowledge of sign support and/or sign language, as one of the activities serves, among others, the deaf community. You are motivated by defined goals and have the ability to translate these into action. With focus on the goal, you can reprioritize work when circumstances change. You follow up and report results and goal achievement. You have the courage and ability to make your own decisions within the scope of your assignment without depending on others. You take responsibility for your tasks and drive the work forward. Furthermore, you are motivated by learning new things and developing, and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks. You come up with new ideas and take initiative for improvements. You actively monitor developments in your professional field, reflect on what needs to be developed in your activity, and can quickly adapt to changing situations. Welcome with your application!
