We are now seeking a dedicated support educator for our operations where you work closely with individuals with mental health disabilities and neuropsychiatric disabilities. Here you will be an important part of creating structure, participation, and improved quality of life for each individual. Your New Role As a support educator at Brahegatan, you work based on decisions according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Services for Certain People with Disabilities (LSS). Together with colleagues, you are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive the support they need to live as independently, meaningfully, and high-quality a life as possible. You work with a pedagogical and motivating approach focused on strengthening the individual's independence, motivation, and development. Work tasks vary and may include: - Personal care - Medication management - Support in daily life and household management The work is based on each individual's circumstances, needs, and wishes, with participation and quality of life at the center. Your role also includes: - Actively working with contact person responsibilities - Establishing and following up implementation plans - Responsibility for social documentation As a support educator, you have a central role in the operation where you support, guide, and develop the pedagogical work within the team. You contribute your specialist knowledge in methods, approaches, and legislation, and drive development forward together with colleagues. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - Post-secondary specialization in the disability field with a pedagogical focus (at least 200 YH points or 60 HP, or alternatively other education that the employer considers equivalent) - Experience working with people with neuropsychiatric disabilities and/or psychiatric disabilities - Good knowledge of Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension - Experience with MI, ESL, and evidence-based methods It is meriting if you: - Have previously worked as a support educator - Have had an active role in method and development work We are looking for someone who is confident and stable in your professional role with good personal maturity. You work independently, take responsibility and initiative in your assignment while having good collaboration skills and contributing to a positive work environment. You are organized and have the ability to plan and prioritize your work efficiently. Furthermore, you are goal and results-oriented with a focus on quality and development, and you have a creative approach where you see possibilities and find solutions in daily work. Support is adapted based on individuals' daily condition and well-being. The work team consists of seven employees, where two work night shifts and the rest work day, evening, and weekends. You work closely with support assistants and an occupational therapist. In this role, you are the sole support educator, which gives you an important opportunity to influence and develop the pedagogical work. Good to Know The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position. Start date for the position is by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening, weekdays and weekends.
