LSS is one of the department's five operational areas, with the purpose of enabling independent, active, and secure lives for people with disabilities. Residential Support LSS is an activity that, on behalf of the municipality, provides support to approximately 70 people in ordinary housing. Residential Support LSS is currently in an exciting development phase focused on quality improvement and knowledge-based approaches for those we meet. With the individual at the center, we work to make a real difference for the people who receive residential support, through commitment and responsibility that strengthens participation and quality of life.

DUTIES
In the role of support pedagogue within Residential Support LSS, you have special responsibility for pedagogical development. This is done through environmental monitoring and by identifying development areas in your own activities. You work on assignment from the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by supporting and guiding your colleagues in daily work. In your assignment, you are a role model and implement methods, working procedures, and routines, ensuring that support is provided properly in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, values, and other guidelines. You place the individual's needs, abilities, and interests at the center. You work creatively and innovatively with motivation to promote the development of the user's own resources. You also work with documentation and follow-up according to applicable guidelines.
As a support pedagogue, you will be part of a team with other support pedagogues who work within LSS activities in Mjölby Municipality. The position is primarily located during daytime hours, but weekend work may occur based on operational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
• completed support pedagogue training from a vocational university
• documented experience of working as a support pedagogue for at least 1 year
• very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• B-category driver's license
It is advantageous if you have:
• experience working with low-affective approach, clarifying pedagogy, and alternative communication methods (AAC)
• experience working according to IBIC as a working method
• experience working with people who have comorbidity and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities
You have good collaboration skills and meet both colleagues and the people we support with attentiveness, empathy, and respect. Through your unpretentious approach, you value others' knowledge and contribute to a positive work environment by acknowledging and confirming others' contributions.
You are flexible and adaptable in changing situations and actively contribute to development and change work. In meeting others, you adjust your approach based on individual needs and circumstances.
