We are now looking for a support educator for a full-time position divided between two units, Berghaga and Västeräng in Vålberg, Karlstad municipality. About the role As a support educator, you will work together with your colleagues in direct work with service users. Additionally, you will implement and apply Nytida's pedagogical framework and contribute to developing personalized pedagogy for service users. This is to support service users in utilizing their cognitive and social abilities, strengthen their self-esteem, and enable a health-promoting life by serving as a role model and motivating wellness activities. Together with other team members, you will work toward making each day meaningful and enriching, performing care-related work, ensuring pleasant facilities, and participating in activities with service users. You will also mentor and support colleagues in social documentation and implementation plans, guide newly hired staff, and collaborate with the operations manager and group leaders on development projects. You report to the operations manager. Becoming a manager could also be a future career opportunity for you. Working hours include daytime, evening, weekends, and on-call sleeping duties. About the units Berghaga and Västeräng are group homes for adults who are part of LSS user group 1 and have intellectual disabilities, autism, or autism-related conditions. The homes are located in Vålberg, approximately 15 minutes from central Karlstad, and have 5 places each. Your experience and knowledge You are trained as a support educator from a vocational college or have relevant higher education. You have good computer skills, experience with documentation, and strong Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form. Additional requirements include experience working with the LSS target group. As a person, you have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people. You are responsible, thorough, and enjoy working in a team. You willingly share your experience and support colleagues in pedagogy, documentation, and interpersonal approach.
