We are now seeking a support pedagogue for Finlandsvägen, a residential facility with special services for adults. The facility is located in Tuve on Hisingen, has capacity for 13 residents, and is focused on psychiatric care. Work Responsibilities As a support pedagogue, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work within the organization. Your role is to gather and disseminate knowledge about working methods and approaches, and to ensure that these are used and developed effectively. Together with your work team, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. In this way, we all become better at understanding residents' needs and providing appropriate support. You will also train and guide your colleagues in approach and methods. As part of the staff team, you will support residents in their home environment both independently and together with colleagues, and contribute to a life that is as good and independent as possible. Your work includes conducting recreational activities both at and outside the facility, carrying out health and medical care interventions by delegation, collaborating within the professional network around the resident, and providing support with cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal hygiene. You will work according to a schedule with working hours allocated to day, evening, and weekend shifts. We plan scheduling in TimeCare. Qualifications For the position of support pedagogue, a post-secondary specialization in the disability field is required, encompassing at least 200 YH credits or 120 higher education credits. Alternatively, a minimum of 60 higher education credits is required in combination with two years of experience working with people with disabilities. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and/or psychiatric care. Other education that the employer deems equivalent may also be accepted. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet this qualification requirement, you may be offered the opportunity to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. A minimum of one year of experience working with comorbidity and substance use issues is a requirement. It is meriting if you have knowledge in behavioral science. We also consider it meriting if you have experience with low-affect approach and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC).
