About the Job We are now seeking a support pedagogue for our BMSS Bankogatan residence. The target group at this facility includes care needs, acquired brain injury, and intellectual disabilities. We are looking for someone who is drawn to the task of working with alternative communication and low-arousal approaches. Your duties also include mentoring your colleagues and ensuring the quality of social documentation. Your work tasks range from creating structure in daily life, motivation work, to guiding and supporting the user. Together with other staff members, you are responsible for creating a quality residence where the tenant is involved in their own life and in society at large. You collaborate based on individual implementation plans to create as independent a life as possible. Since leisure interests and communication are important parts of life, these are areas we wish to develop for our users. You will work closely with the unit manager. You will also be responsible for operational meetings and lead recurring follow-ups and evaluations of approaches, attitudes, interventions, and work methods. Together with your teammates, you discuss and reflect on yourselves in relation to the user, family members, and the work team. The aim of this work is improvement, development, and evaluation. An important part of your role as support pedagogue is also to work with team collaboration around the user, where you may, for example, convene meetings with other professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. About You We are looking for someone with post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational education credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with people with disabilities. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. The job requires good computer skills and knowledge of social documentation. You have experience working with low-arousal approaches and alternative and augmentative communication. If you also have experience with the IBIC method (Individual Needs in Focus), this is considered a merit. Experience within LSS (Act on Support and Service to Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) is considered a requirement for the position. Previous experience as a support pedagogue or similar role is considered a requirement. Experience in care, intellectual disabilities, and acquired brain injury is something we would like you to have, but it is not a requirement. It would also be advantageous if you have experience working in Treserva. Requirement for B-Class Driver's License To be able to maintain documentation, you need to master Swedish in speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements for Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through test provider Educateit. You take responsibility for your and your team's work tasks and are pleasant and helpful toward other people, even in stressful situations. You work well with others by listening, showing interest and respect. You have a good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and their different circumstances.
