About Unika Lilla Bantorget Lilla Bantorget is a group home under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) for individuals in category 1. We have six residents of varying ages with different needs for daily support and care, and some of our residents require more practical assistance with personal care. The residents' daily lives differ and activity levels vary; for some, daily activities are part of their routine while others are retirees. Work at Lilla Bantorget involves both supportive and helping interventions. This can include creating structure and fostering participation in daily life, supporting residents during activities and social interactions, and/or providing practical help and personal care based on each individual's needs. For us, a respectful and person-centered approach is important. We work to ensure that each resident has the opportunity to live a safe, meaningful, and as independent a life as possible. About the Role of Support Educator As a support educator, you will provide support and services based on the residents' wishes, both at home and in leisure activities. You should help ensure that residents have the opportunity to live an active and meaningful life. Furthermore, you should be able to recognize each person's individual needs and conduct pedagogical work based on this. Since needs vary among residents, no two days are the same, which contributes to a challenging and exciting job. You will work closely with residents and your colleagues and have significant responsibility for, in consultation with the facility manager and coordinator, driving and developing the pedagogical work at the facility. Certain delegated health and medical care tasks are part of the work. As a support educator at Lilla Bantorget, you will work with assessments, test and evaluate new aids and methods for the residents, and support your colleagues with, for example, updating implementation plans and procedures. You will work rotating shifts and be part of the operations. You will have close collaboration with the facility's coordinator and assist with certain administrative tasks as needed. Support educator tasks at Lilla Bantorget are performed during your regular schedule, usually during daytime when residents are at their daily activities. You will also have responsibility areas in the form of ombudsman roles and participate in a support educator network with other support educators in the region. Qualifications You are relationship-building, calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner, and you enjoy working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can recognize individuals' needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Degree from support educator training 200 YH points or 60 HP in pedagogy. Experience and knowledge of the LSS target group, adults in category 1. Basic knowledge of household work such as nutrition and hygiene. Computer skills and good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Meritorious if you also have: Experience working with close personal care Experience with clear communication and low-affect approaches. Experience working with people with autism and challenging behavior. Experience in work management We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
