Skara Municipality's LSS residential facilities have a mandate to ensure good living conditions for Skara Municipality's citizens with decisions under § 9.9 LSS. At the residences, we actively work to promote each individual's independence and quality of life. The work involves The positions consist of a temporary assignment running for 6 months at the LSS residence Åsbrinksgatan and a permanent position at the LSS residence Åkerstigen. We are looking for someone who wants to work with individuals with functional variations and who puts the individual's needs at the center. The work means you are a resource and role model in pedagogical work. You guide other staff in pedagogical work in the operations, plan, follow up, and evaluate daily work together with other support pedagogues, support assistants, and the unit manager. You work on assignment from the unit manager to ensure the unit's quality work by creating job descriptions and implementing methods, practices, and routines. In your role, you guide support assistants so that support for our residents is provided adequately in accordance with established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. You will be part of a network with other support pedagogues within disability services. In the role, you support residents in daily life by creating a predictable, manageable, and comprehensible existence and fostering an independent life. All work is based on the user's individually created implementation plan. The work includes all household tasks. The work also involves administrative tasks and standard duties found at LSS residences, in addition to the specific support pedagogue assignment. Work hours: Day/Evening, sleeping on-call, alternating weekends. Who are you? You need to be organized and find new solutions in difficult situations easily. You make and maintain good relationships easily, both with colleagues, users, and others. It is important that you are stable and confident in yourself and can stand behind decisions made and convey uncomfortable messages when needed. You adapt easily to yourself and your work approach based on changed circumstances and new information. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work toward a respectful workplace climate. You also have good collaboration skills, a pedagogical and motivating approach, and the ability to build trust. Of course, you are comfortable with computers and express yourself well in speech and writing. You need to have a strong interest and willingness to develop regarding welfare technology and technical and digital solutions. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Qualifications You have adequate post-secondary education as a support pedagogue. We are looking for someone who is initiative-taking and self-directed with good ability to lead, coach, and support colleagues. You also need to have great commitment and passion for your work and the ability to responsibly implement decisions and agreements. You should have knowledge and experience in low-arousal interaction, clarifying pedagogy, motivating work/approach, and good ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practical work with the individual user.
