Do you want to make a real difference in people's daily lives and contribute to improved quality of life? We are now seeking a support educator with experience as a specialist nursing assistant at Eddavägen for a temporary position of approximately one year, with good opportunities for extension, starting 2026-09-01. Within social psychiatry, we provide individual support in daily life to people with various cognitive and social functional variations. Using an evidence-based approach, we create conditions, quality of life, and tools for our service users to achieve a more independent life. We believe in a cohesive working approach where both the work environment and service users are at the center. Because we use evidence-based methods, as an employee you also have the opportunity for continuous professional development. Our staff are trained in motivational interviewing and evidence-based psychiatry. The unit consists of two different residences: Eddavägen and Nyforsgatan. We collaborate between residences to make best use of each other's expertise. At Eddavägen, we currently serve the target group aged 55-75. We provide housing for people with mental health issues who have decisions made under the Social Services Act or the Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments. We focus on creating good relationships and working with the individual's strengths and health factors. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS Through your work, you provide service users with safe, personal, and individualized support in daily life. As our service users grow older, their needs change over time. You therefore need to be prepared to also provide support in personal care, for example with hygiene, repositioning, and other care interventions. You also assist with daily activities, transfers, and contacts with healthcare, authorities, and family members. As a support educator, you are an important part of the team and contribute to safety, structure, and quality in service users' daily lives. You support both service users and colleagues by, for example, providing guidance in methodology and documentation work as well as practical support in daily life. This may include cleaning, cooking, personal care, transfers, and shopping. You are a primary contact for several service users and help them in their contacts with authorities, healthcare, family, and other important people. You work to create functioning routines and use evidence-based methods in your work. Documentation and development of implementation plans are also important parts of the work, as are various responsibilities at the residence. The work will involve delegated health and medical care tasks, such as administering medication and insulin. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are trained as a support educator or specialist nursing assistant, or alternatively have other education that the employer deems equivalent. You are confident working with people who need support and care, and with personal care. If you have experience working as a support educator and/or specialist nursing assistant, that is very positive. Since threats and violence, animals, and smoking may occur at the residence, it should of course be acceptable for you to work in such an environment. If you have experience from a similar role and knowledge of AAC (alternative and augmentative communication), that is highly meriting. If you also have knowledge of motivational interviewing and low-arousal approaches, are used to documenting in Viva, or have had delegation for medication and insulin, that is a plus. As a person, you are stable and confident in yourself and in your professional role. You are used to working independently, making your own decisions, and at the same time collaborating well with your colleagues. Above all, you are engaged and want to contribute to a safe and meaningful daily life for our service users. Most of all, we are looking for you who wants to make a difference in people's daily lives and who sees possibilities, takes responsibility, and contributes to good teamwork. We warmly welcome your application and look forward to hearing from you! In this recruitment process, we use language testing for everyone we call in for interview. From March 1, 2026, new legal requirements apply, which means we will also request a background check before an employment offer can be made. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01, end date: 2027-09-01. Work schedule: Shift work.
