Support Worker - Youth Residence

Our target group is boys and girls aged 16–20 years with psychosocial difficulties, neuropsychiatric diagnoses (NPD), or those who need support in the transition from residential care or foster care to a more independent life. The young people should primarily be able to manage their daily living with support, but not require the more intensive treatment services that residential care offers. As a support worker, you will be a contact person, assist with daily tasks, document interventions, and collaborate with authorities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in social work, treatment pedagogy, or similar, and experience working with young people. Additional qualifications include knowledge of CBT, clarifying pedagogy, motivational interviewing, or low-arousal approaches. As a person, you are calm, empathetic, flexible, and solution-focused. Good documentation skills are also required, including record-keeping, creating implementation plans, and writing monthly reports. The position involves scheduled work during days, evenings, and weekends, including on-call sleeping shifts. A Category B driving license is required. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis. We accept referrals from social services throughout the country. We offer a safe and homely residence with individualized interventions based on implementation plans and individual goals. This is to increase the young person's opportunities, strategies, and resources for their future after placement ends. Fogdaröd is beautifully located in a park with proximity to nature. In the adjacent forest there are beautiful waterways and jogging trails that contribute to an active leisure life. We also have outdoor and indoor gyms on the premises that young people can use. In your role as a support worker, you will work with comprehensive interventions in the young person's daily life such as: -Together with your colleagues, be responsible for good structure and ensure that the residence's routines are maintained and followed to create a safe and predictable everyday life for our young people. -Support and work with interventions related to activities of daily living (ADL). -Participate in structured mealtimes with the young people. -When needed, collaborate with school, guardians, and other care providers.
