Description We are now looking for a support assistant and/or support educator for Daily Activities, Nyansen. The activities are located at Rörestorpsgården, where we work with participants covered by the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS). The target group for daily activities Nyansen is primarily people with extensive cognitive and/or physical functional impairments, including those with multiple functional impairments and autism. Activities we offer participants include sensory stimulation. This means the activities offer sensory rooms, where a combination of different sensory impressions are used to create a calm or active environment. The sensory rooms often contain lighting effects, bubble tubes, fiber optics, soft toys, ball pits, sound systems, vibrations, and water beds. The purpose is to help participants achieve increased well-being, reduced stress and anxiety, and improved ability to communicate and participate in activities through sensory stimulation. We also offer other activities such as walks, habilitation services, and baking. These activities are adapted to the participants' abilities and capacity. We work daytime Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Work Duties To provide support and service according to the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with implementation plans. You carry out daily, planned support measures and activities together with the user. Support measures shall promote the user's integrity and participation and are carried out with respect for the user's self-determination. The user's needs shall be central and the person's views shall be actively considered. The user shall receive support and the right to determine their own life and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible. The work is based on a pedagogical and motivating approach in close cooperation with the user's network and other staff. Work duties also include habilitation, IT-based documentation and administration, as well as delegated health and medical care tasks. As a support educator, you shall also: - Support and guide your own and other teams in work with users. - In cooperation with users and colleagues, identify needs and opportunities for development. - Work according to solution-focused pedagogy. - Be responsible for developing and implementing methods in the work. - Support colleagues in difficult conversations. - Support colleagues regarding social documentation. - Maintain a dialogue with the unit manager in developing the unit's pedagogical work. Qualifications Higher education or other post-secondary education such as support educator, occupational therapist, or preschool teacher with focus on functional disability, pedagogy, and social work, as well as good IT knowledge. Experience and knowledge in the field of intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum, as well as good knowledge of visual pedagogy are merits.
