We provide services to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to offer support and services based on each individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in society for our residents. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured way of working, and a calm, respectful manner toward residents and colleagues. We are now looking for a colleague to work as a support assistant/support aide at Tyresta Group Home LSS. The position involves working days, evenings, and every other weekend. Work thus occurs on all days and times of the week. You can read more about the benefits of being an employee of Stockholm City here: https://jobba.stockholm/formaner/ Your role As a professional health creator in unit 4, you shall through a salutogenic approach and curious mindset provide support, care, and service based on our residents' individual needs. You are part of the residents' everyday life, providing support and active guidance to the individual where relationship-building approach and genuine engagement are your driving forces. The team's employees provide residents with support with household chores, hygiene, and care. We care about residents having meaningful leisure time and good relationships with friends, family, partners, and society in general – which you naturally support the individual with. This may include supporting residents to visit swimming pools, work out at the gym, visit churches/mosques, visit family, participate in Pride parades, political gatherings, or other leisure activities the resident wishes to participate in. The work includes developing visual supports, using work email, handling phone contacts, and reading and writing social documentation. The position also includes being a support person for one or more residents and holding ombudsman roles. Your competence and experience To be eligible for this position, you need to: Have completed education at upper secondary or post-secondary level that provides the professional title of support assistant. Have at least 1 year of work experience from working at an LSS group home, LSS 9.9 user category 1. Be able to swim and be comfortable in water. Have good physical fitness to actively participate in residents' various leisure activities. Be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish both verbally and in writing. We are looking for you who is professional, stable, and has good ability to handle changing circumstances. You are thorough, engaged, and unpretentious in your work approach and invite collaboration. You are relationship-building, interpret things favorably, and see lessons learned when things don't go as planned. You work from the understanding that we are each other's work environment and actively contribute to a learning and pleasant work environment. You express yourself well verbally and in writing.
