Your Role as Support Assistant/Support Aide with Us You provide our residents with support in all aspects of daily life and assist individuals in their social lives. We work based on low-arousal approaches, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) or clarifying pedagogy for those who need it, as well as IBIC (Individual's Needs at Center). Documentation is an important part of your work tasks. You support users with practical tasks, care, and hygiene. An important part of the work is supporting users with their leisure interests, both within and outside the home. Motivational work to enable users to independently manage their daily lives is a key part of the job. In your work, you have both internal and external contacts with various actors in the users' lives, such as guardians, day activities, family members, and healthcare personnel. You need to work methodically, which means being structured and having the ability to organize and plan your work based on the individual's and the organization's needs. There are methodology developers to guide staff on matters concerning users and operations, and to ensure that our work maintains high quality in accordance with applicable legislation. Your Profile As a person, you are accommodating in your approach and attentive to your surroundings. You both create new contacts and maintain your current working relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, deliver results, and prioritize your work efficiently. You see possibilities in changes, take own initiatives, and bring new approaches to work-related matters. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. It is an advantage if you: have upper secondary education directed toward work with people, support assistant training, or other equivalent training relevant to the target group have experience working with the target group with further training in AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and/or low-arousal approaches have experience working with autism Learn More About Us Gåsevadholm group home is located near Fjärås centrum. Gåsevadholm group home is a traditional group home with 6 apartments. Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees in Housing with Special Services and Support in the Home are employed on a full-time basis but have the opportunity to reduce to a desired level of employment based on operational needs.
