Work tasks As a support assistant, you work with your colleagues to create a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life for the children. You work based on children's individual implementation plans and contribute to creating structure, participation, and independence according to each child's circumstances. You participate in APT and methodology meetings. You ensure methodology fidelity by following routines and work approaches. Our support pedagogues coach and mentor the work team in the pedagogical work, and you contribute observations and feedback to your support pedagogues. With your experience, you are a role model in using evidence-based methods and approaches to foster independence in children. You will work night shifts, weekdays and weekends according to schedule. Full-time hours are 34:33. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a support assistant certification, a Children and Youth Recreation Program with a focus on social or educational work, a Care and Health Program with specialization in disability support, or a nursing assistant certification. Alternatively, other qualifications that the employer deems equivalent, such as specialization in the disability field with at least 200 vocational credits or higher education in relevant areas such as social work. You must also have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. We are looking for someone with qualified experience of at least 2 years working as a support assistant in LSS activities or equivalent positions in adapted preschool/school settings. You also need knowledge of PEG, trach, or similar. We also see that you have knowledge and experience working with low-arousal approaches (LAB), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and visual support pedagogy. Knowledge of PDA (extreme demand avoidance) is a merit where you serve as a role model in the pedagogical work. We are looking for someone who easily adapts your approach based on changing circumstances and sees opportunities in change. You are motivated by clear goals and can translate them into concrete actions. You follow up and ensure that interventions lead toward desired results. You have a strong ability to create safety even in challenging situations and stand by decisions made. At the same time, you communicate clearly and can handle different situations professionally. We also see that you listen to others, show respect, and adapt your approach. Through your conduct, you contribute to good relationships and strong collaboration.
