JOB DUTIES
As a support assistant, you will provide individualized support in daily life based on each person's needs and abilities. You will use low-arousal approaches and clarifying pedagogy to create predictability and security. The role includes preventing and managing challenging behaviors in a professional and methodical way. You will work closely with colleagues, family members, and other professionals to ensure that residents receive the best possible care and quality of life. Documentation according to applicable guidelines is an important part of the work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with education in care and health services, children and leisure, or other relevant experience in the disability support field. To thrive in this role, you need to be confident in yourself, have good self-awareness, and be able to work calmly and methodically even in stressful situations. You communicate clearly, collaborate easily, and have a respectful approach toward both colleagues and residents. Since the work can be physically demanding, we are seeking someone with good physical and mental health, as well as the ability to cycle and swim. To get to the workplace, a driver's license and access to a car are required. A trial employment period may be applied.
