The position is located within the Social Services Department, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for authority functions, procurement of services, and in-house operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS, and social psychiatry. Your Work Tasks As a support assistant, you work with people with physical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities. You work together with the user based on their needs, and together you create a meaningful everyday life where independence and participation are key principles. Your work tasks include providing support in both daily life and leisure time, personal care, health, and functional ability. You provide educational support and work deliberately to ensure that the user can use and develop their abilities as independently as possible. The work also includes being a link to society, where you may need to help with communication with authorities and healthcare. In addition to these tasks, you support with cleaning, laundry, shopping, and medication management. We work with IBIC (individual's needs at the center), which means you keep the individual's needs in focus. You may be a contact person and are responsible for structuring and planning the user's day together with them, as well as shaping the services provided. The scope and content of services always stems from the user's needs and condition and is established through an implementation plan. You are responsible for updating and revising the implementation plan and keeping it current. The work includes daily documentation and recording in the Treserva system. As a contact person, you also have close contact with relatives and other external parties. You work both independently and as part of a team. Your Workplace Will you be our new colleague? The operations coordinate with other units, which means that service at multiple workplaces may be relevant. For these positions, a minimum service level of 75% applies, but due to the right to full-time work as practiced in Linköping Municipality, you have the opportunity to choose a higher service level up to full-time. The LSS Department within the Social Services Department offers activities on behalf of the Social and Care Committee in accordance with the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Disabilities. The LSS Department is responsible for group and service housing, short-term respite care, culture and leisure activities, and family caregiver support. Sparvsångsvägen 10 is a residential facility for people with intellectual disabilities with moderate care needs. The group home is aimed at a target group aged approximately 40-80 years. Users need help with escorting, some personal care, social contacts, and interaction, structure and routines. Some challenging behavior may occur. Users live in their own apartment with access to a shared kitchen, living room, and patio. One user is a pensioner and has home days, while other users attend day activities to varying degrees. Activities are based on the user's wishes and may include cooking together and enjoying a good dinner, regular walks, and other activities that enhance community and well-being. The facility is nicely located in a residential area in Linghem with an adjacent garden, and there is good train access. About You We are looking for someone who has completed a care and nursing program, a children and leisure program, or other pedagogical education considered equivalent, and has experience in support, care, and nursing. For this position, you need to have previous experience working with people with challenging behavior. Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and autism is considered meritorious. Some users have limitations in verbal communication, so knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication is also desirable. The work involves extensive customer contact and documentation, which means you must be able to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is meritorious if you have experience with documentation in journal systems, implementation plans, and have worked based on IBIC. Since a car is sometimes used in the position, we consider it meritorious if you have a category B driver's license.
