Would you like meaningful work where you contribute to better living conditions for our residents? We are now seeking two support assistants for two of our LSS residential facilities in Torvalla. You will be primarily placed at one of the facilities. Here you will work closely with individuals with various disabilities and provide support in daily life, both at home and in the community. The goal is to create conditions for as independent and active a life as possible. You will be part of a dedicated team that together creates a safe and developmental environment. The work is based on each individual's needs and circumstances and is characterized by a pedagogical approach according to KASAM (comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness). The facilities have their own common areas and offices. Working hours vary and include day shifts, evening shifts, overnight on-call duty, and weekends. You work according to a rotation schedule, which gives you the opportunity to influence your schedule within the framework of the organization's guidelines. These are permanent full-time positions. 80 percent of the work is allocated to one of these facilities, and the remaining 20 percent you work at other workplaces within the Disability Sector. Start date by agreement. Your New Job As a support assistant, you provide individually adapted support to residents based on their needs and circumstances. You help residents manage their daily lives and any challenges that may arise. Activities are a natural part of the work and may include walks, outings, social activities, or everyday errands - always with the goal of strengthening participation and quality of life. The work is varied and requires you to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks during a shift. You work closely with colleagues and other professionals such as nurses, support pedagogues, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists to create a comprehensive approach for each individual. The role includes care, care-related services, and healthcare tasks performed under delegation. You document in the Viva journal system. The role also includes contact person responsibility, which means you are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring interventions, always with a habilitative approach. In the organization we use alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), including sign language support TAKK to strengthen participation and communication. Experience with AAC and TAKK is therefore a merit. The position may also involve transporting residents to and from activities and various errands, which means a Class B driver's license is a merit.
