We are now seeking a support assistant for our group home in Mölnlycke. Our group home houses six adults, divided between two units. The residents have intellectual disabilities and autism and have varying support needs. Several of the residents have extensive support needs, which makes the work varied and requires you to be confident and present in your role. As a support assistant, you are present in the daily lives of the residents. You provide support based on each person's needs, abilities and wishes, and work to create opportunities for participation and independence. Support can involve many different aspects of life, such as personal care, everyday tasks, communication, recreational activities and social situations. You help create structure and predictability while encouraging individuals to use their own abilities. Work That Requires Confidence and Flexibility Days can look different here. The residents' needs and daily form can change, so you need to be able to adapt your way of working to the situation. You need to be curious about what works for each person and be able to adapt your way of providing support based on the situation. The work requires flexibility and the ability to adjust when a person's needs change, while being clear and maintaining the routines and working methods that create security and predictability. There may be situations that are intensive or complex. Then you need to be able to stay calm, be clear and act professionally. We work with, among other things, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), clarifying pedagogy and low-affect working methods to create good conditions for the residents. You Become an Important Part of the Team For the operation to work well, we need to help each other and take shared responsibility. You will sometimes work independently and need to be able to see what needs to be done and take responsibility for tasks being completed. At the same time, collaboration with colleagues is an important part of the work. We need to be able to communicate with each other, follow common working methods and help each other when the situation requires it. Implementation plans and social documentation are a natural part of the work. You need to be able to document and follow up on the support provided and help develop working methods for the individual. At the home there is a support pedagogue who works close to the operation and can provide support and guidance on educational matters.
