As a support assistant in social psychiatry, you are an important support for individuals with mental health disabilities. Through a respectful and motivating approach, you help individuals develop their abilities and live as independently as possible. Are you the person we are looking for? Your New Role As a support assistant, you work together with your colleagues to provide support to residents living in the facility. The goal is to help each individual live as independently as possible based on their own conditions, needs, and wishes. The work involves health-promoting and motivating interventions, support in the home, help with personal care needs, and support for social and individually adapted leisure activities. You work from a pedagogical approach and follow the resident's implementation plan, which you also update as needed. The role includes social documentation and contact person responsibilities, where you are responsible for planning and coordination regarding one or more residents. You have regular contact with residents, relatives, colleagues, your manager, and other professionals. In some cases, medication management is also included. Your Qualifications For the position of support assistant, a completed upper secondary education program in the care and support program with specialization in the disability/psychiatry area or childhood and leisure with a focus on social work/pedagogical work is required. Alternatively, other education that the employer deems relevant. For the positions, it is advantageous if you have previously worked with individuals with mental health disabilities and used digital work tools. Methods used in the work include MI, ESL, and a low-affect approach. The work requires physical mobility as situations arise that cannot be anticipated and must be resolved in a way adapted to the situation. You must also master Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension as there is contact with residents, relatives, documentation, and reviewing information related to the work. Your personal maturity allows you to easily understand others' situations. You are flexible, see opportunities in change, and adapt quickly. You work independently by taking responsibility and structuring your tasks, but also thrive in collaboration since the role involves many contacts. You build relationships through attentiveness and good communication. In meeting with residents, you are clear, pedagogical, and adaptable, and you handle difficult situations professionally with a strong belief in people's capacity for development. Welcome to Join Us Lovisagatan 23 B/E - Group housing located at Gräshagen, with ten apartments in two building units. The staff group consists of eleven employees, where nine work day, evening, and weekends and two work overnight shifts. Residents have various mental health disabilities and ages range from 28 - 75 years. They have varying needs for staff support. Some care work may occur. Falken Service Housing - Service housing with 19 apartments located at Råslätt. The staff group consists of eleven employees. Residents have various mental health disabilities and ages range from 25 - 75 years. Some residents need staff support only a few times per week, while others need staff support several times per day. Staff operates from Kärrhöksgatan 40, where there will also be a common area for Falken residents in the future. Most apartments belonging to the service housing are located in the same stairwell, while some apartments are in nearby stairwells. Both positions are full-time with start date by agreement. Working hours at both facilities are day and evening shifts, weekdays and weekends. The permanent position is at Falken Service Housing and the temporary assignment is at Lovisagatan Group Housing, the assignment extends to 31/12 2027.
