Are you a confident, attentive, and dedicated person who wants to work to strengthen families? We are in an exciting development phase and have established a new team in our operations that will offer support to families in vulnerable life situations. Therefore, we are seeking two support assistants who want to contribute to creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for both children and parents. You will become part of a team consisting of two support assistants and a coordinator. Family-based residential support is part of standard residential support and belongs to our regular operations. At our residential support unit, collaboration and collegial support are a given, and we work closely together within the unit. The position is based at our central office in Östersund, but most of the work takes place in the families' homes. Working hours follow a shift schedule with shifts between 7:00 and 20:00 on weekdays. You will also work evenings every third Sunday. Start date by agreement. Your New Job Family-based residential support is an intervention with a clear focus on parents and family. As a support assistant in family-based residential support, you implement approved interventions directed at both parents and children. You work independently in families' homes with a strong focus on strengthening parenting, which means providing practical, educational, and compensatory support tailored to the needs of each individual and family. You will primarily work with people who have some form of neuropsychiatric functional impairment (NPF), and if you have knowledge of or have previously worked with people with NPF, this is considered an asset. This may involve supporting the family in creating functioning morning and evening routines, planning and implementing activities together with parents, such as assisting with contacts with various authorities. The assignment may also include targeted interventions directly with children, where you ensure that their care needs are met. This may involve, for example, accompanying the child to leisure activities or being present in other everyday situations to create safety and structure. Within the scope of the assignment, you may also provide support to residents within standard residential support if needed. You work closely with the team's coordinator, and our goal is to work together based on evidence-based methods, with the aim of giving families the conditions to create a functioning and sustainable everyday life. Common Work Tasks Practical tasks in the home such as cleaning, cooking, planning, and structuring daily routines. Support and guide parents in parenting. Participate in various activities together with parents, children, or the whole family. Follow up on the family-based residential support work. Collaborate internally and externally on matters concerning the family's support. Documentation in Viva. Your Competence Requirements Education as a nursing assistant, support assistant, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or other equivalent education that the employer considers relevant for the position. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Class B driver's license. Assets Experience working with parents and children. Knowledge of and/or experience with NPF. Good computer skills. Experience with documentation in journal systems. Experience with educational work. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. We Are Looking for You We are looking for you who want to support children and parents in different life situations. You have empathetic ability and can meet both children and adults with understanding and respect. You are flexible and adapt when families' needs change. As a person, you are loyal and stand behind the operations' goals, and you communicate professionally in all contexts. With your educational insight, you can convey information in a way that suits different recipients. You have personal maturity, are confident, attentive, and can distinguish between professional and private matters. Your good collaboration skills mean that you work well with both families and colleagues. You are self-driven, take responsibility, and move your work forward. In stressful situations, you remain stable, create calm, and focus on what is most important for the family's wellbeing. Other Information If you become a candidate for employment, you will need to provide a certificate from the criminal record register. The certificate is ordered via the Police website, polisen.se.
