We are seeking reliable and committed support assistants for a newly established residential facility tailored for a young person, with individually designed services and staffing. WORK DUTIES As a support assistant with us, you will work to provide individually tailored support in the young person's daily life. The work is entirely based on the young person's needs and conditions and aims to create security, predictability, and a functioning structure in both everyday activities. You use visual support strategies, picture supports, and alternative/augmentative communication (AAC) to facilitate communication and participation. An important part of your role is also to prevent and manage challenging behaviors through a low-arousal and respectful approach. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues and your manager, with clear routines, regular supervision, and support in the operations. Staffing is adapted to the young person's needs and situation, and the work is conducted in a team. You collaborate with guardians and other professionals, and are responsible for documentation according to applicable guidelines. Since the operation is still being developed, you will also be involved in shaping work methods, structure, and content. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: Have experience working with children, young people, or adults in LSS (or similar services) and have good knowledge of autism and intellectual disability (ID). You are experienced with or curious about working with challenging behaviors and feel comfortable with a low-arousal, structured approach. As a person, you are stable, secure, and have good self-awareness. You enjoy relationship-based work and see possibilities in working within an operation that is still being shaped, where your commitment and ideas are valued.
