Our work is characterized by quality, legal certainty, and a person-centered, rights-based approach. About the Operation We are seeking support assistants for one of our group homes in Barkabystaden. The residents have extensive support and care needs, which means that staff provide support in all aspects of daily life. The support is adapted based on each individual's needs, conditions, and wishes to create security, participation, and independence. Several of the residents need alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), which means that staff use different communication methods and aids in daily work. The operation also includes individual aids and support with transfers, as some residents have reduced mobility and depend on mobility aids. Situations that require a low-arousal approach can occur, which requires security, attentiveness, and professionalism. The positions are permanent employment at 100% with schedules that may include day/evening shifts and overnight shifts. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a support assistant, you work closely with individuals in their daily lives and provide individually adapted practical, social, and educational support based on their needs, conditions, and goals. You are a close daily support that contributes to security, structure, and independence in the individual's life. Your work includes, among other things: • providing support with daily activities and personal care • assisting with hygiene, dressing, and other daily routines • providing support with cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, and meals • motivating and supporting participation in social and leisure activities • creating security, structure, and predictability in daily life • providing support with communication using AAC and other communication aids • handling and using individual aids • providing support with transfers based on the individual's needs • working according to implementation plans and individual goals • documenting according to applicable legislation and operational procedures • collaborating with the individual, family members, colleagues, and other partners We work based on: • low-arousal approach • clarifying pedagogy • alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) • cognitive support • motivational interviewing (MI) • person-centered approach • structures and routines that create security and participation QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • upper secondary education in care and welfare, children and leisure, or other education that the employer considers equivalent • experience working in LSS or day activities • good ability to document and follow up on interventions • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • digital competence and experience working in operational systems For you to thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you are: • secure and professional in your approach • responsible and proactive • flexible and solution-focused • relationship-building and attentive • a good team player with strong collaboration skills Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability for this position.
