Do you want to be part of creating something from the ground up? Imagine getting to help build an entirely new children's residential facility where quality, expertise, and the child's best interests are at the center from day one. We are now opening a highly specialized LSS residential home for children with autism and significant communication difficulties, where the environment, approach, communication, and structure are designed based on each child's individual needs. With us, we build an operation where evidence-based autism expertise, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), clear pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches permeate the work. We are looking for committed support assistants who want to help shape an operation you can be proud of. Why choose us With us, you get to start a completely new operation and influence its development from day one. You become part of an engaged team with close pedagogical support from a coordinating special educator and special educators. Through mentoring and professional development, you'll have the opportunity to develop your knowledge in modern, evidence-based autism expertise. We work together to create a culture where we help each other, learn from each other, and develop the operation. We believe that high quality is created by employees who feel involvement, responsibility, and pride. You see possibilities where others see obstacles and believe in every child's ability to develop. Together, we create a home where children have the opportunity to grow, develop, and succeed – every day. Job responsibilities As a support assistant, you work alongside your colleagues to create a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life for the children. You work based on the children's individual implementation plans and contribute to creating structure, participation, and independence based on each child's conditions. You participate in APT meetings and methodology meetings. You ensure method fidelity by following routines and work procedures. Our special educators coach and mentor the work team in pedagogical work, and you contribute with observations and feedback to your special educators. With your experience, you are a role model in using evidence-based methods and approaches to foster independence in the children. You will be scheduled for daytime, evenings, and weekends. Full-time hours are 38:25. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has support assistant training, a Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work, a Care and Health Program with specialization in disability support, or nursing assistant training. You must also have a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. We are looking for someone with qualified experience within LSS. It's a plus if you've worked with children and young people. You also need to have knowledge of PEG, trach, or similar. We also see that you have knowledge and experience working with low-arousal approaches (LAB), augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and clear pedagogy. Knowledge of PDA (pathological demand avoidance/extreme demand sensitivity) is desirable, where you act as a role model in pedagogical work. We are looking for someone who finds it easy to adapt your approach based on changing circumstances and sees opportunities in change. You are motivated by clear goals and can translate them into concrete actions. You follow up on work and ensure that interventions lead toward the desired outcome. You have a good ability to create a sense of security even in challenging situations and stand behind decisions you've made. At the same time, you communicate clearly and can handle both everyday and challenging situations in a professional manner. We also see that you listen to others, show interest and respect, and adapt your approach based on the individual and situation. Through your approach, you contribute to good relationships and strong collaboration. Other information Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis and begin during the application period. Instead of submitting a personal letter, you will answer a number of questions where you can describe your knowledge in the field.
