The Health and Care Administration with approximately 1,500 employees is one of the administrations in the City of Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, functional support, and health and medical care. At Sågdalsgatans Group Home, five people with various types of functional variations live together. Two of the residents are pensioners who need support to add quality to their daily lives and participate in enjoyable activities. The other three residents receive support with communication, care, and other aspects of their daily lives. We who work here are a close-knit team with extensive experience and expertise. JOB DUTIES As a support assistant, you work to support service users in their daily lives by creating an understandable, manageable, and meaningful existence, and by working preventively and in a structured manner. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities—all work is based on the service user's individually created implementation plan. You participate in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also involves supporting service users in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes. You provide support in all everyday tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure. You are part of a team of support assistants and a support pedagogue. You work with social documentation in the documentation system Treserva and continuously follow up and revise implementation plans. We work with activity-adapted and flexible schedules. Needs are adjusted continuously based on operational requirements, which means you need to be prepared to work day, evening, and weekend shifts. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who • Have training as a nursing assistant or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and extensive care needs in supported housing. • Have knowledge of low-affective communication, clarifying pedagogy, and AAC. • Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. It is advantageous if you have experience working with Timecare and Treserva. As a support assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude as you base your actions on the service user's needs. You have interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you make efforts to present solutions. In your work, it is important that you act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. It is also important that you have the ability to work together with others to complete tasks and reach goals. You understand the shared mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
