We are looking for someone who wants to work as a support assistant at the Psychiatry Unit Viagatan in disability services! Disability services in Kumla consists of 14 group/service apartments, personal assistance, a short-term residence for children, young people and adults, as well as daily activities. We provide support to people with physical and cognitive disabilities. The Psychiatry Unit consists of two group apartments and two service apartments where our tenants have various forms of mental health variations. Today, support assistants and support aides, a support educator, and a unit manager work here. Now we are looking for a new team member who has the drive to develop the psychiatry unit forward together with us! 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As an employee with us, you will plan and perform work tasks so that the users receive the individual support they are entitled to according to the LSS law. This can include activities that occur in daily life such as household chores, social activities, and other interventions designed according to the user's own wishes. We work with the user at the center and strive for good living conditions, self-determination, integrity, and participation. We document in the activity system Lifecare and sign interventions and medication distribution in Appva. Your work includes establishing and following up implementation plans. My leadership is based on collaboration, where trust and confidence create commitment and shared responsibility QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as an engaged and responsible person with a positive attitude and interest in supporting people with mental disabilities. You are good at building trust, are attentive and empathetic. Furthermore, it is important that you can adapt your communication to the target group and situation, as the work may require you to work at different facilities during the same shift, so a flexible approach is needed. You need to have personal maturity and a modest attitude toward your work. We see that you work well with others and can quickly reschedule when required. You understand the importance of following procedures and decisions made. Your focus should always be on the user! Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. We see that you have education in healthcare and elderly care, child and leisure, or other education that the employer finds appropriate. We also see that you have previous experience in psychiatry/disability services. Driving may be part of the work, so it is important that you have a class B driver's license. Cooking and household chores should also feel comfortable for you to perform. We would like to see that you have good computer skills. Proficiency in the Swedish language is a requirement.
