Description We are now seeking a support assistant for Stenklevsgatan's service residence. Stenklevsgatan's service residence is an LSS facility for adult women and men with mental health disabilities, often in combination with harmful use and addiction. The residence is divided into two units with a total of 18 places in a multi-family building with a common area. The staff group consists of 12 support assistants and one support pedagogue. Now we're looking for you who want to make a difference for the people we serve! As a support assistant with us, you will be part of a team of dedicated support assistants and a support pedagogue, whose shared mission is to contribute to a meaningful everyday life for the people living with us. In your role, you maintain the daily structure of the residence and provide both pedagogical and practical support in daily life, perform social documentation, and personal support. An important part of the role as a support assistant is also to motivate individuals to break isolation and support them in maintaining social contacts and activities. We work to create conditions for individuals to achieve their goals and support participation, integrity, and self-determination. The assignment includes participating in the development and monitoring of implementation plans to ensure quality in services, needs, and wishes. You will also be a support in contact with authorities, psychiatric outpatient clinics, family members, home health care, and other collaboration partners. Furthermore, you participate regularly in workplace meetings, method meetings, and collaboration meetings with healthcare. Qualifications We are looking for you who have a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure Time Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also fulfilled if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational points, 120 university credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant courses in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. You have previously worked with people who have psychiatric disabilities and/or harmful use or addiction. It is a merit if you have at least 3 years of experience with the target group. If you also have knowledge or experience working with methods such as MI (motivational interviewing), ESL (an independent life), Low-Arousal Approach, and VSS (care and support coordination) and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), that is a merit. Externalizing behavior may occur, and it is therefore desirable that you have experience and knowledge of how to handle such situations. It is important that you are accommodating and responsible, and have a positive attitude in your professional role. If you also work in a structured manner, have good collaboration skills, and can take your own initiative within the scope of the assignment, that is highly valued. It is important that you can express yourself well orally and in writing and have basic computer skills, as documentation is a significant part of the work. Welcome to submit your application!
