Your New Position You will work in close daily contact, providing continuous support and development for residents. This includes everything from social support to personal care, assistance with mobility, medication management, and household tasks where residents are involved in shaping their daily lives through participation. You will also handle social documentation, implementation plans, and serve as a contact person. Together, we identify and create conditions for security, development, motivation, and good living conditions for each individual. Challenging or acting-out behavior may occur, and we use a pedagogical approach based on the individual's needs and abilities. We work with low-affect interaction, visual supports, and clear pedagogical methods. In your role, you create and maintain contact with colleagues, supervisors, healthcare professionals, relatives/guardians, and day activity programs. Your Qualifications For the position of support assistant, a completed upper secondary education in healthcare and nursing/nursing assistant with specialization in disability support/psychiatry or children's leisure with a focus on social/pedagogical work is required. Alternatively, you may have other education that the employer considers equivalent. Desirable: experience in the disability support field, preferably having worked with autism. Additional advantages include experience with challenging/acting-out behavior, low-affect interaction, visual supports, and sign communication. You must have proficiency in Swedish—spoken, written, and reading comprehension—as the work involves communication, documentation, and reading information relevant to the role. Digital work tools are used, and you are expected to be comfortable using them. A Class B driver's license is required for this position. It is important that you are emotionally stable and secure in yourself, able to respond to challenging behavior with calmness. You should have good pedagogical insight and communication skills, with clear and direct communication. Personal maturity is highly valued, as it helps you understand various situations the individual may face. The home is located in Trånghalla with a beautiful view of Vättern and a wonderful garden. Three residents live here, and our team consists of 12 well-coordinated colleagues, a mix of men and women. You will work with a wonderful group of residents who live active lives according to their individual abilities. The staff is characterized by a friendly and caring perspective that makes both residents and colleagues feel welcome. Work hours are day, evening, and every other weekend shifts with a varying schedule. We always offer 100% employment and work with coordinated planning where work at other facilities may occur.
