We are now seeking a support assistant for LSS leisure activities (short-term supervision) and daily activities according to LSS. About the Operation Our LSS leisure facility Svalan receives young people who have received a decision on short-term supervision according to Section 9, Subsection 7 of the LSS Act. The service is provided to young people aged 13 and older who no longer have the right to leisure activities under the Education Act, but who are unable to be alone while their guardians work. The times when young people are with us can therefore vary based on existing needs. Some young people come to us before and/or after the school day, while others come during school breaks. This can result in long days, and staffing needs are greatest during school breaks when many others want time off. Since staffing needs during regular school weeks decrease, during the weeks you are not at Svalan you will also provide support in the daily activities we have in the municipality. Daily activities are a decision made according to Section 9, Subsection 10 of the LSS Act, meaning that participants have various functional variations and require individually adapted support during the day. Job Responsibilities As a support assistant at Svalan and in daily activities, you are a reliable, responsible, and unpretentious person with good interpersonal skills. You are attentive to the individual's needs and work to strengthen the participant's involvement and independence. Job responsibilities include working in a structured manner to create a safe and understandable environment based on each individual's needs and interests. We aim to develop or maintain the individual's skills. This requires you as an employee to have a salutogenic approach in your work. You are attentive to participants' needs and have a calm and clear manner of interaction. You have knowledge of and practice low-arousal approaches. The job requires that you enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. Participants at Svalan and in daily activities have activities both in groups and individually, according to their own schedule. For this work, you need good flexibility and the ability to adapt to different situations. You also need a good ability to work together with different staff groups, as this position involves working across different operations. The assignment also includes personal care and certain delegated health and medical care tasks. You are expected to contribute to operational development and participate in ongoing training. We document in and use the operational system Lifecare. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - Nursing assistant certification or other education that the employer deems equivalent - Class B driving license, manual transmission - Good computer skills We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
