Would you like meaningful work where you make a difference in people's daily lives? We are now seeking two support assistants for one of our LSS residential homes in Lugnvik. Here you work closely with people with various disabilities and provide support in daily life, both in and outside the home. The goal is to create conditions for as independent and active a life as possible. You become part of a team of eight employees where you together create a safe, developing and inclusive environment. The residential homes have separate common areas and offices. Working hours vary and include day shifts, evenings, on-call night shifts, and weekends. You work according to a fixed schedule, a so-called hybrid schedule where you have the opportunity to influence your schedule within applicable guidelines. These positions are until further notice with full-time hours (100%). Start date by agreement. Your New Job As a support assistant, you work to create conditions for each resident to have a meaningful daily life and influence over their own life. The role includes care, care-related services, and health and medical tasks performed by delegation from a district nurse. You also work with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to strengthen residents' communication ability and independence. At our LSS residential home, activities are a natural part of the work. This can include walks, outings, social activities, or errands in daily life - always with the goal of strengthening participation and quality of life. In the work, you need to be able to take your own responsibility, solve challenges together with colleagues, and contribute to the development of working methods and routines. We work closely with colleagues and other professionals such as district nurses, support educators, occupational therapists, and physical therapists to create a comprehensive approach around each individual. Our work is characterized by respect, responsiveness, and professional conduct. To succeed in the role, you need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to make well-founded decisions in situations that may arise. You work independently, take your own initiatives, and carry out your work tasks in a responsible and safe manner. Typical Work Tasks Support and guidance in the individual's daily life Assist with personal care Perform delegated health and medical tasks in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act, for example medication management Work in a habilitative and motivating manner based on individual needs Participate in various activities together with the individual Documentation Your Competence Requirements Trained nursing assistant, support assistant, or other education that the employer considers equivalent for the position Good knowledge of Swedish - spoken, written, and reading comprehension Meriting Experience working with people with disabilities Experience in care work and personal care Good computer skills Driver's License Category B Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Other Information Police Clearance Before a possible employment, you need to provide an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register.
