About the Position We are now seeking an engaged and reliable support assistant for our group home in Sisjön. As a support assistant, you work to provide individually tailored support to the people living in the group home. Your task is to contribute to a safe, meaningful, and developmental everyday life where each individual is given the opportunity to live as independently as possible. You provide support in various aspects of daily life and work to create structure, safety, and predictability. The role includes, among other things, providing support with daily activities, planning and implementing activities, supporting in social settings, and contributing to the individual's development based on their own abilities. The work involves meeting people with different needs and circumstances and can sometimes result in situations that may feel challenging. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy working in an environment where you need to be able to stay calm, be flexible, and adapt your approach based on the situation and individual. Requirements and Competencies We are looking for someone who has knowledge of and preferably experience working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities. You have an understanding that each individual is unique and can adapt your approach, your support, and your communication based on the person's needs and circumstances. You have knowledge of or experience with AAC/TAKK and clarifying pedagogy and understand the importance of using adapted communication to create conditions for the individual to understand, be understood, and be involved in their daily life. You also have good knowledge of social documentation and speak Swedish well in both speech and writing. A driver's license is an asset but not a requirement.
