The position is placed within the Social Services Department, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for authority exercises, procurement of services and own operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS and social psychiatry. Your work tasks Work as a support assistant involves actively coaching and strengthening the individual's ability to be independent. Your tasks are broad and include providing support in daily life through, among other things, personal care, participation in leisure activities, measures to promote health and functional ability, and working toward increased participation. The core of the profession is to help unlock and develop users' own resources. Ongoing tasks also include customary interventions such as rehabilitation, medication management and documentation. We work based on IBIC (the Individual's Needs in Focus). You will be assigned a contact person role, which means you work together with the individual to plan support measures. You are responsible for the implementation plan and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes close contact with relatives and other stakeholders. Your workplace At Lövsångarevägens Group Home, dynamic and developmental work awaits! Our user group consists of six young adults with intellectual disabilities who spend daytime at a day activity center. At the group home, we work to provide adapted support to users in everything from communication and relationships to leisure activities and personal care. With us, you have the opportunity to work on development issues and initiate meaningful activities for the users. We actively work to develop methods and approaches within welfare technology and alternative and augmentative communication. The group home is located in a newly built area in Linghem, within walking distance of the commuter train. For this position, a minimum employment degree of 75% applies, but due to the right to full-time work as applied in Linköping Municipality, you have the opportunity to choose a higher employment degree up to full-time. The operation coordinates planning with other units, which means that employment at multiple work sites may become relevant. Your working hours will be scheduled for day, evening and weekends as well as sleep-in on-call duty. Are you our new colleague? You as an applicant We are looking for someone with a diploma from a care and health program, children and recreation program, or other education deemed equivalent. To succeed in the role, it is a requirement that you have experience working in LSS activities. We consider it desirable that you have experience working based on the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC) and with low-arousal approaches. It is also considered meriting if you have worked with alternative and augmentative communication and challenging behaviors. Since communication and documentation are an important part of the work, it is important that you can communicate well in Swedish, both in writing and verbally. Good computer skills are also a requirement. Since a car is used in the position, you need to have a B-class driver's license. We are looking for someone who takes own initiatives and own responsibility, and who can work independently but also functions well in collaboration with others. You have an empathetic ability and can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations.
