About the position As a support assistant in housing with special services (BMSS), you have a coordinated responsibility where you plan, implement, and follow up on daily work. Your main task is to work together with your colleagues to offer customized educational support that contributes to a meaningful, independent, and developmental life in accordance with LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). At Lektorpsvägen, you will provide three service users with individual support in daily activities, which includes everything from personal care and home life to accompanying them on activities and outings. You will work in a motivating manner and use clear pedagogical methods and the Handy tool to help structure daily routines. We work to create conditions for individuals to reach their own goals. There may be pets in the operation. Examples of work tasks: - identify suitable activities/tasks in consultation with service users and develop them based on their needs - carry out care tasks and, based on delegation, certain medication management - perform service tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, etc. - collaborate with family members and others in the service user's network, nurses, occupational therapists, and other actors such as the region - regularly document in the operation's documentation system and review existing documentation - establish and follow up on implementation plans - participate in workplace meetings and other meetings About the workplace Lektorpsvägen 10 is a group home located in Adolfsberg where you will currently provide person-centered support to three service users. The group home works closely with psychiatry and all new staff receive training in dialectical behavior therapy. The Social Services Department, Functional Support area, provides support and services to people with physical and mental disabilities according to the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS) and the Social Services Act (SoL). Collaboration with your team and your manager is crucial for success in the role, so we are looking for someone who is receptive and flexible in communication. Being part of shaping an operation is an exciting journey, but it also requires you to have adaptability and the ability to see opportunities in changes. Independence and structured work are important qualities for thriving in the role. You need to have a very good understanding of your role and the person you are there to support, and be able to adapt your way of communicating based on the service user's individual conditions and daily well-being. Since challenging behaviors occur in this operation, you need to have the motivation and drive to overcome obstacles and take on various challenges. Furthermore, you must have a command of the Swedish language such that you can communicate with the service user and other staff, and can document in writing what the operation requires. Good computer skills are also required to be able to document. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: - nursing assistant education or youth and leisure program (with a focus on pedagogical and/or social work) - B-class driver's license (manual transmission) - ability to cycle Merits: - documented experience working with people with disabilities - documented experience working with people on the autism spectrum - experience working with clear communication methods (e.g., according to AAC or VISA standards) - experience and/or training in MI (motivational interviewing) Scope and start date Employment type: permanent position Degree of employment: 100% Start date: according to agreement Number of positions and working hours: 1 position involves day, evening, and every other weekend; 1 position involves evening shifts only and every other weekend Other information It may occur that service users have pets.
