About the job Do you want to make a difference as a support assistant for people living in BmSS, housing with special services? We are looking for a new colleague who wants to provide support to people in their daily lives, both at home and in the community. This position is a temporary assignment. Some of us face obstacles when the world is not designed for the way we function. As a support assistant in disability services, your role is to support residents' participation and create opportunities for them to influence decisions and interventions. You provide daily support with everything from communication and stimulating leisure activities to household chores. Your role is to adapt your support and contribute to a good and independent life. You collaborate with other people around the resident, such as trustees, social workers, family members, and healthcare professionals. Your work includes social documentation and medication management according to delegation. At our unit, you have the opportunity to work with people whose primary diagnosis is autism. You also have the chance to work with people who have rarer diagnoses, which gives you the opportunity to continue developing as a support assistant. To ensure that you feel you have the tools you need to meet our complex target group, we work with high participation where all experience counts. Working hours are scheduled for day/evening shifts and every other weekend. About you We are looking for someone with a degree from the Healthcare and Care Program, support assistant education, or Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational school credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of work experience providing support and services to people with disabilities. The education must include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. To be able to maintain documentation, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. You need knowledge and work experience with the autism target group, low-affect interactions, alternative and augmentative communication, and clarifying pedagogy.
