Your Role as a Support Assistant
You provide our residents with support in all aspects of daily life. We work based on low-arousal approaches, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) or clarifying pedagogy for those who need it, as well as IBIC (Individual's Needs at the Center). Documentation is an important part of your responsibilities. You support residents with practical tasks, care, and hygiene. An important part of the work is to support and motivate residents in their leisure interests, both within and outside the home.
In your work, you have both internal and external contacts with various stakeholders in the residents' lives, such as guardians, day activities, family members, and healthcare personnel. You need to work methodically, which means you should be structured and have the ability to organize and plan your work based on individual and organizational needs. There are support pedagogues and method developers available to assist staff with questions regarding residents and operations.
Your Profile
As a person, you are accommodating in your approach and attentive to your surroundings. You create new contacts as well as maintain your current working relationships. You take responsibility and drive your work forward, delivering results and prioritizing your work efficiently. You see opportunities in changes, take own initiatives, and bring new approaches to work-related issues. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We are Looking for You Who:
have a nursing assistant or support assistant education, or equivalent education relevant to the target group
It is Meritorious if You Have:
experience working with the target group
additional training in AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and/or LAB (low-arousal approach)

Our Offer and Other Information
We offer two permanent full-time positions starting December 7 or by agreement.
Within the Department of Individual & Family Care, all employees in Residential Services with Special Services and Home Support are employed full-time but have the opportunity to reduce to desired employment level based on operational needs.
