The position is placed within the Social Services Department, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for authority functions, commissioning of services and in-house operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS and social psychiatry. Your responsibilities Would you like to contribute to a safe and meaningful everyday life and support others toward independence? Then you might be the person we are looking for at Grindgatans Group Home. As a support assistant, you work closely with the residents and provide support in everyday tasks. This can include personal care, activities, social community and creating structure and security in daily life. You join in on various activities, such as library visits and haircut appointments, where you support the residents based on their individual needs and conditions. The role also includes practical household tasks, as well as documentation and record-keeping. You work together with colleagues to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for the residents and contribute to developing the operations' working methods. Your workplace Grindgatan is a group home within LSS where seven people with intellectual and neuropsychiatric disabilities live together. Several of the residents are older and have lived together for many years. They have a nice sense of community and enjoy doing things together. Here you get to participate in everything from library visits and haircut appointments to other activities that contribute to a meaningful life. The operation is in a development phase where we together build new routines and working methods. You will be part of an experienced work team and have the opportunity to help shape the operation moving forward. The work team consists of six employees. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, weekend and on-call night shifts. About you We are looking for someone who has completed a care and nursing program, child and leisure program or another education that we deem equivalent. You have experience working in care, support and nursing and are familiar with documentation and record-keeping. It is advantageous if you have worked with people with intellectual and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities. It is also advantageous if you have experience with pedagogical methods or AAC (augmentative and alternative communication). You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. In the work, you need to be able to collaborate with others and at the same time take responsibility for your own tasks. You are attentive and can adapt your support to different people and situations. You communicate clearly and follow up on what needs to be done.
