Gräshoppans is a relatively newly built group home located in a residential area close to the city center and other activities such as Marieholm Church, swimming pool, and bowling alley. Six young adults with various disabilities live here, each with their own apartment and patio on the ground floor. We are six support assistants working here, and we now need to recruit an additional support assistant for a permanent full-time position. Do you have previous work experience from the LSS field? Are you a calm and secure person with the ability to act with low-arousal communication? Then you might be the person we're looking for! 1 position(s). WORK DUTIES As a support assistant, you work close to the users in their living environment and are part of the user-centered work. In your role as a support assistant, you work according to LSS legislation to provide people with a good quality of life. This means positively encouraging, stimulating, and engaging each person toward increased independence, as well as creating continuity and security. Your work duties include, based on the individual's needs, responsibility for care and supporting them with personal hygiene, laundry, meals, cleaning, social contacts, and support for leisure activities. You will also collaborate with many different parties, such as family members, support educator, day activity services, nurse, and others. The work also includes written documentation. It is important that you are attentive to the signals you receive from the residents and that you encourage participation. An important task is to work so that the individual themselves is involved in planning the support as well as in community life. The position is full-time, permanent with rotating schedule day/evening/on-call. We hope that you can start on September 1st or as soon as possible thereafter. QUALIFICATIONS You who are applying for the position are trained as a nursing assistant or have completed a program in children and recreation. Alternatively, you have other post-secondary behavioral science education that the employer deems relevant. We place particular emphasis on education in: • Low-arousal communication • Motivational interviewing, MI It is meritorious if you have work experience with NPF diagnoses, intellectual disability, clarifying pedagogy, and TAKK. When working at Gräshoppan, it is important that you are a positive and secure person and that you are attentive to the individual's needs. You are responsible, see solutions instead of obstacles, and enjoy varied work tasks. As a person, you are skilled at motivating and engaging the residents in their daily life and activities. Other personal qualities that are important for succeeding in this role are curiosity in meeting people and keeping the individual's needs at the center. You also have good written and language skills in Swedish with regard to communication and documentation. We use digital tools which you need to be quick to learn to handle. A category B driver's license for manual cars is a requirement for the position. When you submit your application, we want a CV showing your previous qualifications.
